Sending winter holiday and New Year's greetings in the mail is a sweet tradition. Getting "happy mail" (not bills or junk mail!) feels special to just about everyone, whether they talk to you almost every day or haven't heard from you in ages.

Our seed paper cards make your winter-y greetings even more special, since the handmade cards themselves are a gift: your recipient can follow the simple steps on the back of each card (or visit our How to Plant Your Card page) to grow wildflowers or herbs from the card itself! Each card has a two-year shelf life for best sprouting, so they can take their time to enjoy your message before giving it a new life. 🌱

This year we have seven original winter designs to explore. All are blank inside to add your own message for Christmas, Hannukah, Yule, Winter Solstice, New Years, or more. Don't forget to add a sticker or photo of this year's adventures inside.

Opossum Stockings Wildflower Seed Card

New for 2024! Three young opossums (also called possums) play in holiday stockings hanging from a fireplace. This is our only winter-y card  that grows wildflowers when planted: bird’s eye, clarkia, black-eyed Susan, sweet alyssum, catchfly, and snapdragon.

Having trouble choosing a card? Grab our Winter Holiday Card Set featuring four of our most popular designs, for a total of eight cards and matching envelopes. You can also add 25 or more seed cards (in any mix of designs) to your cart for 20% off any time of the year.

Winter Snowy Owl Herb Seed Card

This popular card has our illustration of a puffy snowy owl with American holly and black spruce. Like all the wintery cards below, this card grows a mix of herbs when planted: parsley, chives, and basil. Our herb paper grows especially well in pots (inside and outside) and can be planted indoors even in the coldest months.
