These 26 greeting cards have illustrations of fruits, nuts, and flowers that start with the same letter of the alphabet. Pick a personalized card by choosing your recipient's first or last initial, or purchase several to use as your own monogrammed stationery.

The letters and their plants are adapted from the 1856 children's book of rhymes The Alphabet of Flowers and Fruit:

  • A: acorn and apple
  • B: buttercup, briar, and bluebell
  • C: cowslip and cherry
  • D: daisy and damson plum
  • E: elderflower
  • F: fuchsia and fig
  • G: geranium and grape
  • H: hollyhock and honeysuckle
  • I: ivy
  • J: jasmine and jargonelle pear
  • K: king ranunculus and kernel
  • L: lemon and lupine
  • M: mulberry and migonette (also called reseda)
  • N: narcissus
  • O: orange and olive
  • P: plum and primrose
  • Q: quince and quickset
  • R: rose and raspberry
  • S: strawberry and sweet William
  • T: tulip and tamarind
  • U: upas (a fruit related to figs)
  • V: verbena and Virginia stock
  • W: walnut and wallflower
  • X: xanthium
  • Y: yellow gentian

Each card is printed on cream-colored seeded paper made from post-consumer waste. Embedded in this plantable paper is a mix of wildflower seeds: bird’s eye, clarkia, black-eyed Susan, sweet alyssum, catchfly, and snapdragon.

    How to Plant

    To plant your card, cover it with 1/8” of soil in full to partial sun and keep it moist until the seeds establish. With proper care, sprouts will emerge in 4-6 days—your easiest DIY project ever.
