About the special pigment ink: on white paper it shows up as brilliant pastel, while on dark paper the colors are are "chalky" and opaque. Watch the ink start out transparent on dark paper and fade to bright pastel. Adding multiple layers on dark paper gives more intensity and opens up a world of possibilities for shading and textures.
